The Carburettor Enhancer, is only for those vehicles which use carburettors. The gain in fuel economy which can be expected should be in the range of 3 - 5 miles per gallon. It is very simple, and is very easy to install. It requires no modification of the carburettor - the only usual modification is a small hole in the air cleaner housing, through which a hose is passed. It works by applying a small vacuum on the float chamber of the carburettor. Once set, it should require no further tuning. The parts are very easy to obtain, if the installer wishes to build their own.
Pollution reduction of carbon monoxide and nitrous oxide is about 30%
In summary, the carburettor enhancer should furnish in the range of 4-5 miles per gallon. The vapouriser should furnish between 30-50% increase in MPG over your current amounts in petrol engines. TurboDiesel engines will increase about 7-14% in MPG. The water injector furnishes only about 1 mile per gallon.

The following shows results of a sample installation in the reduction of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons.
Gases Normal with Carburettor with Carb Enh. with Enhancer & Water Inj. Vapouriser Carbon Monoxide (cor.) 9.00 8.90 5.20 0.17 Carbon Dioxide 1.08 1.1 9.23 5.70 Hydrocarbons (ppm) 382.00 285.00 132.00 220.00
As you can see, there is an increase in carbon dioxide, but a significant reduction in the main toxic gases. There is evidence, although it is particularly difficult to establish precisely with present measurement technology, that the vapouriser reduces particulate pollution in diesel vehicles. This is evident if doing a physical sight test before and after installation, which is still the only normal way of measuring particulate pollution.
With the increased fuel efficiency, there is a corresponding increase of power and torque. We have not conducted engine bench tests, but provide the results of 0-60 acceleration tests on a 1.4 litre Citroen BX RE:

We supply completed units, information to build one's own systems, or units installed by a garage. The Brightman manuals are 8+ pages and show the construction, basic theory and installation of the devices. Prices follow:
Brightman Brightman Manual Only Manual & Device Carburetor enhancer £6.00 ($11.99) £16.50 ($32.99)
The devices have the completed components supplied, with each installation consisting of 1 or two main components along with hoses, and control valves, enough for the average installation.
Installation time for an inexperienced customer is: 30-60 minutes
Devices can be removed, or circumvented from operation in a vehicle in case of malfunction in 5 - 15 minutes, either with no tools or at most a pair of pliers.
Delivery times are around 4 weeks for devices (because they are modified to the vehicle they are going to be installed in) and 1-2 days on manuals (normally delivered electronically).
